I received a call from a repeat client that I had just tuned for in November 2016 (just a few months ago) stating that her pedal had broken and 3 keys were sticking.

Anything look unusual?

For those of you who have never seen underneath a grand piano like this there is something missing: the upper linkage.

Somehow it had come undone, and been placed on the bookshelf!  Got it installed again.  Yay!  I still have no idea how it came apart in the first place as the player wasn’t there to ask her!….

(I just realized that I should have taken an after picture so you could see what it is supposed to look like…oh well :))
