This is a very cool system that can be installed onto any piano, and is carried solely by Daynes Music in Midvale.  For anyone who is going to buy a piano I believe that Daynes has the best selection of pianos and quality on the market, but perhaps even more interestingly they will give you a personal tour and experience on PNOscan, which comes included in your Steinway purchase, and is optional in all pianos.

I got to sit down and record my song, and also was able to immediately email myself an mp3 as well as a transcription of what I had just played!  Granted it’s not a perfect duplication, but I did 10 times the transcription here in 1 minute that I spent 3 hours trying to do at the BYU piano lab – and that’s no exaggeration!
