I used Spurlock teflon powder on top of the capstans and bottom of the whippens to eliminate groaning sounds that occurred with each key stroke.
I used the same powder to lube the pedal dowel that was making noise:
I also rebuilt this pedal mechanism that was broken and squeaky – rebushing the dowels and inserting a new pin:
Here’s a picture of the group – there were about 23 in attendance – nice sized group!
We even split up at the end to learn from some real life case studies right there in the shop.
